Chocolate Crackle Cookies

crackle-cookies

These cookies are awesome.  They’re almost like a little brownie bite covered in powdered sugar.  We made a non-vegan version of these at Leda’s, but never ended up doing a vegan version.  I thought it was time to remedy that and added them to my menu.  They’re based on this recipe from good old Martha Stewart.  Plate of cookies, little rice milk (or soy, or almond) on the side, and I’m a happy girl.

  1. Oh yay! My favorite!

  2. These are probably the best cookies I have ever put into my mouth! My whole family devoured them in seconds and my boyfriend is begging me to make him more.

  3. These look really, really good! Very impressive :)

  4. Hey, there – I really want to make a vegan version of these cookies but the link to the MS page has a non-vegan version. Is there another version somewhere on your site? Thanks (and love this blog!)

  5. Hi, SB – I would recommend using vegan version of the non-vegan ingredients (like soy or almond milk and Earth Balance or another butter substitute.) Hope that helps!
